History is a burden. Stories can make us fly.

I haven't posted in a few days again! I just haven't felt the urge to update for some reason.

Doctor Who 8x03

I thought this episode was pretty good - really enjoyable for the most part although those guards being robots almost spoilt it. I kinda liked the idea of it just being a standard Robin Hood tale (although the title kinda gives it away!) and the stuff between Clara and Robin was good and I thought it was fun having the Doctor arguing with Robin and trying to outdo each other.

It was awesome seeing Ben Miller - the news of him appearing in this show had somehow managed to pass me by (although maybe I knew but forgot) so when I saw him face I pretty much shouted out "oooh, Ben Miller!" louder than necessary! He was good in it though, wasn't he? I liked him as the bad guy (even though it made me miss "Primeval" and his performance in it).

I thought Clara was good in this episode and I liked the scene when the guard decided that Clara must be the one in charge after observing Robin and Doctor bickering.

And what's the deal about this paradise/promised land place? It seems to be the "bad wolf" storyline of this season/series. I like it.

Next weeks looks good!

On Thursday night I watched "Graceland" - 2x12 - I can't remember much about what happened apart from it being intense as is usual for this season. And Briggs and Charlie have found themselves in trouble for the finale. And Johnny is on dangerous ground. How is this season gonna end? I'm rationally concerned for next weeks finale.

In other news: Continuing on from our summer of walking Mum and I have decided that were gonna walk around some interesting places during the weekends instead of going to the shops - we don't really enjoy shopping that much anyway unless we're looking for something specific. Yesterday we went for a lovely walk along the Thames again - this time we started at North Greenwich, where the O2 is, and walked down to the Thames Barrier and then walked back to the O2 and from there we walked down to Tower Bridge. We were out pretty much all day but it was really nice to walk somewhere we'd never been before. We're trying to decide where to walk next time.

Incidentally, there are some pics on my instagram as usual.

Also, last week I ordered myself a pair of these Dr Martens the other day. They arrived today and are pretty awesome! They're really nice soft leather and feel pretty good already. They do make my feet look massive though but I'm used to that really.

tv: doctor who, random, tv: graceland, shopping
