On Monday night I watched "Criminal Minds" - 9x22 - I thought it was a pretty decent episode and now there's only the two part finale to go before this season draws to an end. Then I watched 2x01 of "Unforgettable" and appropriately enough I'd forgotten pretty much all of season one! This episode could have done with a pretty extensive "previously on..." about the storyline related to Carrie's sister. And the three supporting characters have gone and they were the best things in it (well Roe was. I miss him already). I'll keep watching to see how things progress.
On one of the sports channels they've been showing World Cup movies and yesterday it was the 1986 one, which I vaguely remember, and tonights is all about the 1990 World Cup! Now I loved the 1990 World Cup! It was the first football tournament I really got into and started my love of football (which lasted probably about a decade but still comes out every now and then when the World Cup or Euro tournaments are on) and I remember it really really well. I'm looking forward to watching the movie about it now so I can relive some of those moment and feel all nostalgic!
Last night I watched
24LAD 9x06
I thought it was another good episode this week and things are moving along quite nicely. I thought the Jack and Kate stuff was really good this week and I'm starting to like her character and I think Jack has underestimated her a little bit. I liked seeing them teaming up - with Chloe on comms - to follow that lead Jack had. It was almost like old times.
And then, of course, MI5 had to come blundering it and almost ruin everything! I know it's in London and the idea of the US administration and CIA having some kind of say in anything that happens is a bit farfetched but having the British Prime Minister go against the President seemed off to me. Especially as they seem to have a pretty decent relationship. Or did have until the Prime Minister's assistant told him about a rumour she'd heard about Heller's health. I shouted at MI5 not to do what they had been ordered to to! At least Jack managed to press enter on that laptop and rescue Kate. Despite the ridiculousness those scenes were really cool.
I thought the Simone stuff was quite interesting too - obviously she didn't want to do what her mother was asking and was torn between her family loyalty and what she knew was the right thing. It's a shame her husband's brother didn't listen to her. And as she was chasing that little girl I had a feeling someone was gonna end up getting hit by some kind of vehicle. I'm just glad it wasn't the child. But is Simone dead? And what is her mother gonna say? Oh, and the girl is a witness now. And we're half way through the season already!
Now, what's Mark gonna about the document he signed on the President behalf and the Russians and Jack Bauer? That's not gonna end well for him is it? I kinda want to trust Mark but when he does things like this it makes it difficult. I do think he has Audrey's best interests at heart though, he's just going about it the wrong way.
And who was Navarro talking to at the end about Kate's husband? Kate's husband was innocent and Navarro set him up? What? And I was just starting to like him. I didn't really expect the storyline about Kate's husband to become important. Is it connected to the drone storyline? Or is it a separate thing? I'm interested in seeing how it's gonna play out. And Jordan is looking into it what is he gonna find out?
