I wanna feel your kind of love

I can't believe it's gonna be June tomorrow. How did that even happen? And once I go back to work it's a six week term and then it's the summer holidays. This year is going crazy fast! The good news is that it's the World Cup in a couple of weeks! I love the World Cup! Obviously I'm gonna cheering England on as usual but also, for fun, this year I've put a bet on another team (I usually choose a second team but I don't usually put a bet on). USA are my outsider tip for World Cup glory!

In TV catch up news: On Thursday I watched "Beauty and the Beast" - 2x16 - while I knew Cat's dalliance with Gabe was only temporary until she got back with Vincent the way it played out in this episode really annoyed me! They decided to make Gabe act like a bit of a douche just so we'd all be on Cat's side when she went back to Vincent! That really bugged me. Gabe's been a pretty decent guy up until this point. In the last episode when he asked Cat outright if she was having second thoughts about them and she told him to his face she wasn't and that she wanted to be with him. I've never been against Cat and Vincent - it's the whole basis of the show and they do have amazing chemistry - but I don't like what they've done to the character of Gabe just to get them back together. Not to mention that Vincent was with Tori until a few weeks ago when she died.

Anyway, this show is on a bit of a break now - back in the US on Monday but I'm not sure when it will be back over here.

Then I watched "Intelligence" - 1x08 - I thought this episode was quite good but there still something that's just not working for me. I thought the case of the week was pretty interesting and I liked the involvement of an old friend of Gabriels. That worked well. I did think it was painfully obvious that that dude's wife was in on it and it annoyed be that Riley didn't figure it out herself. Riley's an intelligent woman so I would have loved it if she'd figured it out pretty early on and then did something herself to stop it. I did like Jameson this week though - as soon as we saw him at the shooting range I knew his gun skills would come in use later in this episode. I did think he was gonna die at some point though so I was glad that didn't happen.

Finally for Thursday I watched "Believe" - 1x10 - I enjoyed this episode and especially liked the scenes between Bo and Tate as usual. I really like the way their relationship has grown as this show has gone on. The actors have great chemistry - the right kind of chemistry  - which is important, the show depends on it really. I also liked the scenes between Bo, Tate and that FBI woman. Maybe they've found an ally in her? I think she starting to distrust Roman now. With only two episodes left now I'm wondering what can happen before the end.

Then last night I watched the England/Peru friendly - England's performance was okay but it was nice to see some of the new (to me) players and see what they might be capable of in Brazil.

Finally for Friday I watched the season 2 finale of "Perception" - 2x14 - I thought this episode was pretty good and I liked seeing some of the reactions people had to Daniel's illness. I don't know who this girlfriend he spoke of even is (have I just forgotten them or where they never really there?) and just what was going on in Paris at the end? Very odd. I think season three could be interesting.

Eric McCormack is always really good in this show though - he does a great job of carrying it - so I'm looking forward to seeing more of him in this role. It's great seeing DJ Qualls too.

It did seem pointless holding these four episodes back though - in the US they had break between August and February, over here it was November - May. Four episodes wasn't enough to get an ongoing storyline going or anything. Seemed a weird way to do things but I guess they had their reasons.
