I'm not going to betray my friend

Suits 3x12

I thought this was a really good episode! Last week I said that I didn't think there were enough Mike and Harvey scenes in that episode, well this episode more than made up for it. I really liked the fall out to Louis finding out about Mike and Harvard. I liked the way Mike tried to handle it but what I liked the most was that Mike had complete faith in Harvey to make it right but Harvey didn't know what to do, and admitted that he'd failed and didn't know how to sort things out. That scene between him and Mike was intense. I think it was one of my favourite scenes in this episode - along with the one when Mike kind of accepted defeat and told Harvey that he'd tell Louis everything and resign and when Harvey offered to come with him Mike told him that, even though Harvey wouldn't admit it, they're friends and he wouldn't betray his friend. I thought that was a really nice moment between them because, like Mike said, they have become friends whether Harvey likes it or not and how upset Harvey was that he couldn't fix things proved that.

I also liked the Louis stuff this week - he wasn't coming after Mike to hurt him, he was coming after him to protect the firm because he knows that if all this comes out the firm is gonna look really bad. Louis isn't a bad guy. I also really liked the scenes between him and Harvey. Again, him and Harvey are friends and I liked that Harvey managed to convince him to let the whole Mike thing go.

It was good seeing Rachel and Donna involvement in it all too.

I wonder if this is the last we'll see of the Mike didn't go to Harvard stuff? Or is it all gonna hit the fan again at some point? Surely there could be someone down the line who figures it all out and isn't willing to let it go?

I thought Jessica's storyline was pretty interesting too - it was good to revisit something from season one (I think?) and it was good that she managed to get along with the other woman (I can't remember her name?). Really they both wanted the same thing at the end of the day. I hope they managed to reach a good deal in the end.

I liked that Harvey didn't want to burden her with all the Mike drama at the same time - and their final scene together was really good.

After that I watched the last episode in the very short series 5 of "Jonathan Creek" - 5x03 - I thought this episode was probably the best of the three episodes in this series. There was a pretty good actual crime mystery to solve and some little fun bits on the side too. It was a shame the first episode in this series was so weak because if it had started with an episode like this I think I would have enjoyed it more. For something with only three episodes it took far too long to get going. It was nice to have it back even though it was never gonna be as good as it used to be. I wonder if we'll have some more after this? How well did this do in the ratings?

Finally for last night I watched "The Blacklist" - 1x13 - I thought this episode was a pretty good one and the case of the week was pretty interesting. I liked how it kind of coincided with Liz and her husband's plans to adopt. I think she right to tell him she wasn't ready though even though it might have made an even bigger gap between them - something like having a child (naturally or adopting) is something that needs to be thought about and if she doesn't think they're both ready in their relationship for this stage then she had to say something. I hope things work out okay for them after this - especially with that girl trying to get between them. What's her deal anyway?
