Castle 6x07

I thought this episode was pretty cool - it was a bit lacking in Ryan and Esposito but I liked the idea of having Castle and Alexis working together on an older murder. I thought that was interesting and worked quite well.

I totally fell for the brother red herring and then also totally guessed that it was the cop dude - as he was really the only suspect. It was nice seeing them find all the evidence but it seem a bit weird that no-one found that evidence before (especially the dolphin charm), I guess they though they had their man so didn't look at the other stuff. Surely they should be more thorough though? For a while though I did think that maybe the dude Alexis was convinced was innocent might have actually done it - that would have been an interesting twist.

I liked that Beckett was a bit concerned about Alexis not asking her for help and was worrying about not being able to fit in with the Castle family.

You know, as much as I liked seeing Castle and Alexis team up in this episode I can't shake the feeling of how awesome it would be if they killed her off at some point. They haven't killed off a main character in this show in ages and it would definitely shake things up, wouldn't it? And Alexis is totally expendable. They should totally do that.

After that I watched "Elementary" - 2x03 - I thought this was another enjoyable episode. The case of the week was pretty interesting but once again the best scenes for me where the Sherlock and Joan ones. I loved it when he originally said that she was done with love and then Joan talked to him about that later. I really love their friendship. Interesting to see that Moriarty has been in contact with Sherlock too. I wonder where that's gonna go?

Then I watched the season 2 finale of "Perception" - 2x10. I can't believe this season is over already, it feels like it only just started. I thought it was a good finale, I especially liked how Daniel and Donnie had Moretti's back - I really like it when Daniel and Donnie team up. They're really good together. I hope we get more of that next season. I can't think of anything else to say about this episode and season. I do like it though.

I also caught up on "Bates Motel" - 1x08 - I thought this was another good episode and I liked the references to the movie. Loved Norman starting to be interested in taxidermy and I especially loved it when Norma said "12 cabins, 12 vacancies" because that's a line from the movie. That was awesome. With only two episodes left now I'm intrigued about how it's gonna end.
