I watched the first episode of "Misfits" series five last night. I wasn't that impressed, to be honest. I think Alex's new power is almost as ridiculous as his previous storyline and I just knew that he'd end up having to have sex with one of the guys because, you know, it's so funny (sarcasm intended). I didn't understand how getting the devil/demon/whatever out of Finn would turn all the others back to normal either. And why didn't they just find some salt or something?
I think the best (and only worthwhile thing) in this show is Rudy - and Rudy 2 (who I think is really sweet) - and I'm looking forward to any and all storylines featuring him during this final series. Which is weird because when he first came into the show I didn't really like him. I think I've warmed to Joe Gilgun, who I think is a really good actor.
I will stick with this show until the end but it's nowhere near as good as it was in series 1. I honestly think there's been a gradual decline since then.
I also watched "The Blacklist" - 1x03 - which I thought was a really good episode and an improvement on episode 2. I'm really intrigued by Red's connection to Lizzie. Why does he seem to care so much about her? And what is her husband involved in? I'm looking forward to finding out more.
I then watched the last ever episode of "Don't Trust the B**** in Apartment 23" I thought it was okay but it just didn't seem final at all. I'll give the writers the benefit of the doubt and think that they didn't know it was gonna be the last one. I quite enjoyed it as a show generally though and it's a shame it had to end.
Finally I watched "Bates Motel" - 1x07 - I thought this was an interesting episode. Am I right in thinking that the man in number 9 is the owner of the book Norman found? I guess he's gonna be after that in the next episode. I felt really sorry for Norman though - aside from his issues he does seem like a really sweet kid and I felt bad for him when Bradley told him she didn't see feel the same way about him and then I felt even more sorry for him when the dog died. I couldn't even watch during that scene. I had to shut my eyes and look away. I guess all these events in his life create the person he becomes or something? I think Freddie Highmore is doing a really good job in this show. I think Dylan is probably my favourite character though, he just seems so normal and seems like he really just doesn't get the relationship between Norman and Norma at all. Oh, I also wonder why the sheriff is covering for them?
