Haven 4x01

I'm really pleased that this show is back - it's been too long - and this opening episode was definitely an interesting one.

I liked that the Duke stuff continued straight from where we left of but then we got the time jump - so 6 months has passed and quite a lot has changed. I liked that Duke ended up in Boston with no idea why he ended up there and I really liked the introduction to Jennifer. I think she could be a really interesting character and I already like her chemistry with Duke and am looking forward to more interaction between them. I'm also curious about her trouble and what else she might know. Interesting appearance from Duke's brother (I had no idea he even had one and was he played by the ice truck killer from "Dexter"?), I have a feeling their relationship isn't that great because Duke didn't seem very pleased to see him, did he? I wonder what their deal is?

It was also interesting to see the impact everything had had on Nathan - he's obviously harbouring a lot of guilt about losing Audrey and Duke and the rest of the town still suffering from the troubles. I'm interested in seeing how things progress for him because he's obviously gonna have a lot of angst this season by the looks of it. I really liked the scene when Duke found him taking beatings for money. The Nathan and Duke friendship has always been one of my favourites in the show (and the actors are obviously very good friends) so I was glad to see the hug and the fact that Nathan was so happy to see him (even if he was happy to see him because it meant Audrey might still be out there somewhere. I think he truly was happy to see Duke though). Like Duke said, they have a very complicated relationship and I always enjoy their scenes together. I'm looking forward to more.

I thought it was pretty cool that Dwight had become police chief in Nathan's absence and was trying his hardest to keep things together - it was good that he convinced Nathan to come back to the police though to help out while he tries to find Audrey and stop the troubles for good. I can't help but wonder if he really is her true love though. I like that he's willing to let her kill him to save Haven but what if he's wrong? Maybe someone else is Audrey's true love? Or the true love of someone she used to be. Or something.

I thought the Lexie stuff was pretty interesting too - are we ever gonna get our Audrey back?

I thought the case was pretty good - and I loved that it was related to Audrey's first case.

I'm glad this show is back and I'm looking forward to all the complicated storyline's it's gonna bring. The promo at the end of this episode looks good!
