I just got back from a relay meeting and the hiring manager was there. At the end of the meeting I introduced myself to him "officially". I was hoping for better news; but I am trusting that this is Gods plan. Apparently there has been over 200 applicants for the position and HR is still processing them. He also said that they are more than likely leaning to another candidate. I have been preparing myself for this, I knew that this was more than likely going to be the outcome. It was still great to be able to talk with him, he let me know that I am on the right track for becoming the top candidate for this position. Also, he is going to email me with some information on being on the Region J Relay council for online. This would give me the opportunity to travel and teach about being an online chair. It's not paid, but I know it will add to my resume and I will get to meet a lot of people.
Now, it is time to search elsewhere for a job. Time to get serious about it too. My goal is to be in another position and be satisfied no later than September. I think this is reasonable.
