soo weve been here for almost a week, and im seriously in love with this place. we stay above the sta travel center right in the middle of the city, and we met an awesome girl named tala who volunteers too, and shes from georgia. weird shit. we have a balcony and at night we sit out there and watch the people in the street and drink and smoke cigs, everything i thought i wouldnt be able to do here. there are a couple awesome bars too. and we made friends with a little boy that sells cigarettes. we also met a few other people from australia, ireland and france. the volunteer work is kind of hard. we ride motor bikes in the morning around 6 am to a small place where we sit on the floor for hours in this hot cramped space with a lot of old and fairly young vietnamese people who are all sooo nice and try to comunicate even though they dont know english. then we take a van to another place where we sit over a steaming bucket of rice and take cups from people in line who are sick with cancer and also some vicitims from agent orange. weve been to the war museum which was realy hard to see. right now we are outside of the city visitng a girl nicole met in florida and her family. its nice to breathe some fresh air, and see a completely different side of vietnam. it is seriously amazing here though. theres still so much to say, but its hard to be able to sit on the computor for a long time. ill try and update again in a few days..sin chow! p.s. i suck at writing emails
