T-Minus Ten Days and counting...

I've been so ridiculously busy over the past two weeks, I haven't gotten any time to update.

Things have been really good. I don't mean just normal good, but really, really good. I don't really feel like getting all into it since we're about to cuddle up and go to sleep, but I will say that I continue to be amazed on a daily basis by all the ways we've been blessed lately. Things just keep..... I don't know.... working out. For those of you who have talked to me recently, you might think that sounds mad, since Stephen was recently laid off (his company deleted his position, let go of all the Tech Ops, about 12 guys) and my therapy is currently my full-time job. We don't have much at all, but we're better off than we've ever been. We're talking things through. We're making new friends. We're praying together. (for 2 people who have both run away from their faith for about 10 years, this is remarkable) I absolutely can not wait to be his wife. Enough of the disgusting lovey stuff for now.

We've pretty much gotten all the wrinkles smoothed out. All the thanks in the world to whole foods and especially Mr. JOE (one of my very closest friends) for making my dream of having a wedding cake come true, even if it is last minute. There are rules being broken and strings being pulled, but it looks like we might actually pull this off.  We got the wedding certificate the other day. I had my first "holy shit this is really happening" moment. Seriously, my first. I still don't feel like it's real. We had to look at the document to make sure our names were spelled correctly and I got all teary. Stephen made fun, of course. We worked everything out with the pastor... Paul can't do it cuz it's good Friday and he leads the service that night at his church. He introduced us to a minister buddy of his, and we adored him. His name is Jacob, and I think we're a good fit. I think it will be a beautiful service.

Mom is coming down the day before for flower arranging and a day of beauty. Then the rehearsal, then rehearsal dinner at P.F. Chang's. I get to stay in our suite all by myself on thursday night, then friday is the big day.

This friday Mandy is throwing me a party at my new favorite bar. From what I understand, lots of old friends will be there.

I know I'm making myself sound like one of those crazy women who gets married and it's all I can talk about... but come on, it's getting CLOSE and it's kind of all I can think about right now.
So. Totally. Excited.
