photoblog: my trip to virginia!

Dec 31, 2006 15:49

This is where I first met Jaqui. She was trying to attach her bicycle to this this thing. It was absolutely adorable.

This warning was attached to the side of that very meter. I suppose I ought to have paid attention.

This is the view from a balcony where I spent a lot of my time while in town.

This warning seems wise until you take a closer look at the image. Given this situation, I think I'd take my chances with the elevator or at the least choose a non-burning staircase.

I also spent a lot of time wandering around through the streets of Ballston. This was taken from the corner of Loneliness Ave. and Apathy Blvd. I hung out here a lot, mostly because I think the overpass is cute.

This may be the same thing from the other direction.

I really wanted to buy a pair of these but I didn't think I could get them on the plane, no matter how eldritch their properties.

I saw a lot of interesting things during my wanderings, such as this art installation...

...and a street sign which through creative location and orientation seemed wholly superfluous...

...and the worst nursery school ever.

This isn't exactly where Jaqui and I parted company a few days ago, but it's close enough.

And of course before the trip ended we decided to take some mirror pics. You know, like the kids do, for the myspace and all. Here's me.

Here's Jaqui.

Happy New Year's, everyone. I'll be home soon
