"I can fix that."

It's been a busy week. A busy crazy week. Yesterdays break from school and the Rose selection process was a welcome one. I have no idea who Quinn is selecting this afternoon but I think it's a good thing that I'll be just as surprised as everyone else. I guess this is where I'm supposed to say good luck to all the Buds and Pricks so, yeah, that.

There are people I need to catch up with. The short list is as follows: Jesse, Quinn, Arthur J. Abrams, and anyone else who I might be missing.

Also, an open invitation,  the Westport Arts Center has an exhibit featuring work by Malawian children. I think the artwork is specifically inteneded to work as a sort of therapy. I'm not sure what to expect but I'd love to go. The mini-artist were asked "What do you love about yourself/What makes you feel loved?"  It's free! (I think, at least I hope it is.) I'm not sure how easy it would be to get there but the exhibit is open for a while so there is time to figure stuff out.

Last but not least, "Eve" by Rilke

Look how she stands, high on the steep facade
of the cathedral, near the window-rose,
simply, holding in her hand the apple,
judged for all time as the guiltless-guilty

for the growing fruit her body held
which she gave birth to after parting from
the circle of eternities. She left
to face the strange New Earth, so young in years.

Oh, how she would have loved to stay a little
longer in that enchanted garden, where
the peaceful gentle beasts grazed side by side.

But Adam was resolved to leave, to go
out into this New Earth, and facing death
she followed him. God she had hardly known.
