No New TV

When I used to work for Hollywood Studio Gallery, making picture frames and repairing art for "big Hollywood productions," we had a few games to keep our minds occupied when the big boring jobs would come in. Sometimes it would just boil down to who could do the most ridiculous impression of Huell Howser or Johnny from the gallery area (he was from Decatur, GA). On one occasion, however, we hit gold...

Theorizing that a new television show would never be written again (a prediction that is becoming dangerously close to fruition), it was our jobs as pretend network executives to pitch new ideas that merely mashed two old shows together.

Chico and the Fat Man (we outlawed Jake and the Fat Man and Chico and the Man shows fairly early on)

Sesame St. Blues

Welcome Back Kojak ("Who loves ya, sweathogs!")

Gilligan's Fantasy Island

Quincy P.I. and Magnum M.E. (see what we did there?)

All in the Family Ties

Love Boat, American Style

I don't know why I can't remember more of them... Oh, well, feel free to leave some in the comments if one pops into your head!
