STATUS: OPEN! :D
CHARACTER(S):
torchwoodraised (a Doctor Who OC), and YOU!
LOCATION: Just inside the coffeeshop
SUMMARY: There was a door. Jaz went through it. Now she's EXPLORING.
WARNINGS: ...I'm a little weird sometimes?
NOTES: Okay, I know, I know. 10/Rose sprog, so highly unlikely; oh god, she must be a self-insert or something; oh no, run away from the batchipper; etc. I promise Jaz is not a self-insert, though you'll have to take my word on that, and I promise I'm not a batchipper. Basic premise - Rose really WAS talking about herself when she mentioned "the baby" at Bad Wolf Bay, saying goodbye to the Doctor, but she chickened out of telling him at the last moment and lied and said it was Jackie. By the time Journey's End happened, Jaz was about five. She was raised around Torchwood and science and space, and when she was 17, she got Handy to help her build a vortex manipulator. Two years later, they got it working, and she set off to have adventures all of her own. And then there was that unfortunate transdimensional vortex glitch...
There was a door. A pretty, wrought-iron door, in the middle of the Nerzalian badlands, totally out of place among the ruins that the archaeology team was excavating.
Really, she'd said, why bother excavating things when you can time travel and learn about it when there were still people here? The only answers she'd got were a laugh, a declaration that she was 'just like him', and 'because this is more educational'. Jaz can't be sure if she's just having her on about the last bit or not, but their relationship is full of stuff like that, so she generally doesn't question it.
But then there'd been that door, and after a while walking 'round it in circles, Jaz did the only logical thing to do.
She opened it and stepped through.
And promptly gaped at the fact that this coffee shop clearly exists outside the fabric of the universe, and then settled down with her cuppa and biscuit while the sweet (and rather cute) barista explained things. Now, however, Jaz Tyler's on the prowl, poking her head in cupboards, tugging on the fixtures, and generally making a mild nuisance of herself.
At least she looks friendly?
