Wow, an actual update from Matt? Something must have happened!
Well... my car caught fire on Tuesday.
More correctly, there was a fire in my car. Apparently a small animal had made a nest in the engine compartment of my car at night to keep warm, when the engine got hot enough it caught fire. You can't imagine the shock of opening the hood to your smoking car to see a small campfire burning on top of your engine. Fortunately there was a sheriff parked diagonally from me who was right there and put it out for me. The car's been in the shop since yesterday, just sitting. Insurance hasn't yet given the okay to begin work, though it's looking like it should go through (first estimate was $4,300 to repair), I should know tomorrow what they decide. If it does go through, it should be covered by my comprehensive insurance ($100 deductible). If you haven't noticed, that's a lot of "should"s...
