Not much excitement...
Dave finally purchased and assembled his anniversary gift: a garment rack to replace his dresser. It's a big wire rack with canvas boxes for tshirts and such.
We didn't have dressers when we moved here, and we also had no money. Dave got his dresser from Allston Christmas (I.e., left with the garbage). Mine is from a thrift store. he put the dresser with our garbage two nights ago and it's still there-except for one drawer.

I saw Hidden Figures last night. It was really good; so good I wanted to reread the book. A little bummed the movie didn't get into the Apollo program. However, I loved the characterization. I loved the use of costuming with Katherine to make her either fit in or stand out.
Speaking of movies, I'm shocked Patriots Day has been so well received.80% on Rotten Tomatoes? I found the whole thing to be a cheap cash in attempt on Mark Wahlberg's part. I have no intention of seeing it.

I had the day off today, so I took Andy to the Play Place, an indoor playground nearby. At first he was intimidated. Then he saw they had the same walker he has at home and he's like "yeah, I can play with that." I put him in the ball pit and he loved it. After that he got all excited "OMG!! Let's play with more toys!" There were two other kids, both a little older than him. he smiled a lot and wanted to play with them.

Stuff happening this week: animal procedure tomorrow, possibly another one Wednesday and Friday but that might get postponed-long story. Boss has another grant due this week, but at least I knew about this one with more than a day's notice. Friday: media blackout and a bottle of wine.
