Meh
Not a lot happening atm, so here's some random stuff. Mostly baby related:
-We got the last of Andy's Christmas presents from Dave's family shipped to us, along with some hand me downs from his cousins. Including Barney DVDs. Our DVD player is in a box somewhere, and we can just pretend the Barney DVDs won't rip to a server, right? :)
One of the books he got was What the Dinosaurs Did Last Night: A Very Messy Adventure, about toy dinosaurs coming to life at night and causing trouble. It's adorable. I tried reading it to Andy but mostly he's interested in opening and closing the covers of books. And trying to eat them.
-In talking to family, I can't help but notice Andy is more like my brother, and his kid is more like me. Andy is friendly, social and always wants to "talk" with people. My nephew is quiet and wary of people he doesn't know well. He likes books and observing his surroundings, like studying the wheels on toy cars.
I'm curious to see what the kids will be like when they're older. Parents, did you find your child's personality as a baby reflected what they'd be like when they were older?
-Plantar fasciitis has been acting up for a couple weeks, bad enough where I'm limping when I get up in the morning :( I need to buckle down and do the therapy exercises again.
-I made some cookies on Monday-chocolate with butterscotch chips and Butterfinger bits. Thinking next time I should sprinkle the Butterfinger bits on top, as they tend to melt and sizzle when they're in contact with the pan. Still pretty good though.
