unresponsive people frustrate the hell out of me. Seriously, it's just rude. so here's a lesson, kiddies:
if you're busy, and someone is trying to talk to you, politely and succinctly tell her so, and, if you suspect it will be an indefinite while before you will be able to talk, perhaps offer that you will say "hey" as soon as you are able, and then follow through.
And that goes for all interpersonal relationships. Think about it--when you apply for a job, don't you like to hear something back from the company regardless of whether you're hired or not? Or if you've asked a teacher to write you a rec, and they say they need to think about it, don't you want to know what they've decided? Or if you've asked a friend to go to a concert with you, and are waiting on them to get tickets, don't you like to know whether or not they can go?
see, it's just common courtesy. No one likes to be ignored if they are seeking a response, so follow the golden rule and make me proud.
