child abuse

A seven year old Kansas City boy was at the center of a courtroom drama yesterday when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of him.

The boy had a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge had awarded custody to his aunt. The boy testified, however, that his aunt beat him even more than his parents did and he refused to live with her.

When the judge suggested that he live with his grandparents, the boy sobbed, claiming that they beat him more than anyone.

In suspension of normal procedure, the judge then dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of him.

It was reported this morning that, based upon the boy’s firm belief that they are not capable of beating anyone,

the judge has granted custody of the boy to the Minnesota Vikings.
