My apologies for the suddenness of this, but I HAVE to take an indefinite amount of time off. I know this isn't the way you expected me to use my vacation time, but I have no choice. Kadaj is staying with me for awhile--I just brought him back from the hospital. He needs time to heal, and I need time to talk with a lawyer and there are police interviews and it's mess. >__< Worth it, but a mess.
I'm hoping it will only be for a week, and I will do as much as I can from home. I have a feeling it will be a welcome break from all this. If somebody could bring me the pile of work on my desk, I'd appreciate it. Just ask my secretary-she knows what I was doing. Somebody else will need to take over the task of going over Rufus's mail-preferably you, Basch.
I must get back to Kadaj, but I'll try to get through this as quickly as possible. I don't want him going to school until things are sorted out--the last thing I want to see is the military try to silence him.

There is a very high chance in all of this that I will be called on to testify and when I am, I thoroughly expect to be questioned about his abuse of me. I will do my best to keep myself and Shinra from being dragged through this, but it is a possibility considering the things my father did when he worked here--like me. Again my apologies. If anything happens to Rufus, I should feel partly responsible for not being to help, but I cannot turn down my brother's plea for help.
