A click. A familiar one. He had a gun on his person, of course, but he had always been better hand to hand and with the freedom given by Koizumi, he had taken advantage of it. Still, he knew that sound and with no voice...
Makoto ducked down, the bullet passing by his head harmlessly. He quickly turned and dashed down the hallway. An attacker. Alive, but they had to be disarmed IMMEDIATELY.

He practically jumped out from behind the corner, leveling his pistol out in front of him again. I missed because I was shaking, damn it--! After six months you think I'd be desensitized to this--!
But he wasn't, and in the back of his mind, Kaito had a feeling that, no matter how long he might be fighting zombies for, he would never get used to this. He could take out zombies with no problem whatsoever, but a human... even one that was destined to turn into a zombie...
It all felt wrong, and it always would.

No, she is much more interested in sizing up the condition of the newcomer. She's got a fairly good idea of where this one is from, but she doesn't like the look of those bitemarks -- then again, this might be an excellent opportunity to gather some data ...

"Are you here alone?" He asked, kneeling down to be more level with her, but making sure to check her over. No bite marks or injuries he could see. And she looked healthy, so not likely a small zombie demon child.
