*you're in luck. His nerves aren't so frayed that he'd fail to recognize your voice, so that gun remains harmlessly(?) at his side as he turns to look at you.*
K- *he grits his teeth. Really, he should know better than to use their real names after all this time. Unfortunately, that also included 'Conan' now, so he was a bit at a loss as to what to say.
The gun finds its way back into the holster and he rubs his hand on his pants.*
Especially since this Conan has obviously lived as such for about 8 years. For shame.
His Hattori has the same issue though, so he's not calling you on it. "I wouldn't think you were." Particularly since it's kind of illegal for... Everyone.
Except police. "...I'm guessing there's a story here?"
No prob. Notifs are down for me too. 8/fallenfromlawDecember 9 2011, 06:39:19 UTC
"There's always a story" His tone is slightly deadpan as he shoves his hands in his pockets and studies Conan.
He knew this wasn't HIS Kudo (as if that wasn't giving him a headache all on its own). It's been around ten years, and the kid's grown now. He also hasn't heard from him in weeks and every day that passed worried him more and more.
Hopefully Ran was still with him.
Shaking his head slightly to clear the thoughts, he shifted the subject slightly. "What is this place? Some kinda pocket dimension?"
;;A;; nuuuuuuuu...bigbirdconanDecember 9 2011, 07:41:41 UTC
"Mm. Maybe that one focused on completely different 'universes'... Ones where one group of people exist, while others don't."
He had his own thinky face for a moment, but now he's looking back up at Hattori. "I know for a fact that Ayumi-chan's 'duel monsters' aren't common among most universes; and with that, neither are the top players. It's like they just don't exist in worlds where the game isn't."
YAY~ (...I can has bed. ||D)bigbirdconanDecember 9 2011, 08:08:23 UTC
Blink.
"...Fun..." That sounds like something someone back home would do, frighteningly enough... "I can tell you that this place at least has a little more logic than that..." Perhaps..?
Wait, Conan, how does any of what Hattori said make a lick of sense even with alternate worlds in mind?
(Me too. Bed was nice 83)fallenfromlawDecember 9 2011, 19:13:06 UTC
Conan would probably be surprised how used to strange conversations Heiji had become after his time in the manor. Now that he was sure it wasn't all a dream after all, that familiarity with the unknown has come back full force.
"Yeah. She wasn't a very good writer."
Standing up so long with his injuries was starting to take his toll.

He'll not ask any more about that, and instead nod and gesture off behind him. "Yea- It should be around this way I think." Depending on if the mansion suddenly decides to move EVERYTHING for no real reason. "The dining room would probably be better though."
"Yes and no," he admits with a shrug. "I've been here long enough to get a basic idea, but the problem is that you can never be sure if the building will have the same layout all the time."
He recognizes you. Sort of. "..." Conan's actually surprised (for once). "..A gun?"

Not to mention, if Hisoka's word was anything to go by, at least two other 'Gin' in the area... ...That weren't trying to kill him.
"...It's a fairly particular nexus," he adds with that thought.

He shrugs. "I tried not t' think about it, otherwise I went round in circles tryin' to cope how what was happenin' was impossible."
