[in this post: a boy and his monsters.
... to be more descriptive, a Kaito is currently seated in the dining room, feet propped up on the table and chair balancing backwards on two legs as he scans a book propped in his lap (Lupin, of course-- what else?). It would be a fairly average scene... if it weren't for the
five foot fire dragon looming over his shoulder, tail swishing back and forth irately. Periodically, Kaito lifts a hand from his lap to hold out a bit of food for said dragon-- and said dragon seems more than happy to devour his meal with a quick swipe of his tongue, a few loud movements of his jaw, and a warm puff of smoke.
It isn't just the dragon, however. There's an entire menagerie of strange animals lounging about in the dining room. A
three-handed monkey is curled up comfortably on top of his trainer's head; a
large multi-colored bird has perched herself on the dining room table as she pecks at a bowl of sunflower seeds; a
strangely marked cat-like creature stretches and yawns, before bringing a paw forward to brush his ears; the
series trademark lays in Kaito's lap just underneath the book he is reading, fur bristled and ears flat against her head as her gaze darts around the room suspiciously; and a really weird
blue thing with no arms bounces and rolls around the table's legs, nearly knocking chairs over as she does so.
IT'S A ZOO IN HERE.
And this Kaito seems to be very, very content with this fact, even as he mumbles idly, gaze never leaving his book]
Oi, Jou-chan, if you knock the table over you're cleaning up the mess.
