Conan's gaze didn't waver, watching Koji. It didn't matter if he was going to relax, Conan wasn't because he knew and he wasn't going to be caught off guard. Not with Ayumi, not when she was THERE.
But these names...he doesn't know them, any of them. Ai left after that....why not earlier? How long? Did Koji know she was there at all, see her face?
He was trying to pull the pieces together, figure out what was going ON, but all things considered...
He didn't know how much of that offing thing was some sort of joke or what, but the most important thing was AYUMI at the present moment. Considering how they ran.
"Ayumi, you should be fine right now. Please leave. I need to speak with Koji-kun alone." She obviously didn't know about the Black Organization and if that's the only reason she hasn't been hit, he wasn't going to change that. Not until he knew what was going on.
He knew he was probably screwed. One of the worst kept secrets in the Mansion was Conan was Shinichi shrunk by a poison from the Organization, so chances of playing dumb didn't seem like an effective move right now.

But with a sigh, she nods. "Mm... I'll wait in the hall, if that's alright. But first." Snatch!
Cards grabbed back off the table, with a snickering Koji quite calmly facing Ayumi's frown. "Stop calling my cards cursed, Koji-kun!" And with that she leaves the room...
Koji's chuckling cutting short almost immediately after. With a seemingly serious look aimed toward him. "...If you haven't guessed, 'Megane' would be 'You' by the way." Just so you know but what the heck does that even have to do with-.

Conan didn't know, really couldn't know, what she's been in. It wasn't he didn't trust his friends, but he knew the Black Organization and he's seen far too many people he respects act scared of Gin. He wouldn't risk Ayumi. He couldn't, wouldn't, not again, not another friend.
He watched Koji until Ayumi had left the room, edging towards the door because he didn't want Koji between him and the door. Just in case. Because he DOES have some self preservation and does know an exit is important.
"I figured that," he said, still holding the watch even if it wasn't aimed just yet. "Were you given the Apotoxin then, Gin? Weren't as favored among the numbers as my world then?"

For Conan's part, he managed to keep his own face pretty straight too. Mostly because it is all kind of 'what' and he doesn't have enough information and he Does Not Like This.

You were one of the best and so loyal. And scared so many people who should be far harder to intimidate than the dumb kids Shinichi-niichan and I are."
He makes note of the name, but Conan has been put on the spot too much. By now, ignoring his panicked instincts has become second nature. And with Ayumi gone, a lot harder to shake him of.

Not to mention an entire building of the weirdest agents ever somehow desensitizing himself from... ...Himself.

Hence the growing grin? "That's why we don't need to hold back in our arguments." He sighs, sitting up with a stretch. "Then again, I don't expect you to get it... My world's pretty screwed up from what I can tell..."

Then he remembered. Another him, before, on the floor with a knife through his chest. In such strange clothes and then later, that strangely dressed Conan approached him and explained why.
"But how could the others not question him not aging?"
He snorts. "Because the APTX isn't the one doing it...! Come on..." He gestures to himself. "I look anywhere near '8'? 'Hisoka Koji' and 'Edogawa Conan' are both in the ninth grade right now- and until the APTX can't fight the other drug in us, we're gonna keep aging just as normal. Personally though, I give it two... Maybe four years before we get to skip town and leave the country."
And at that he turns to the side, muttering something under his breath about life debts.
"You were older. Might not regress as far," Conan said simply. He's never seen Gin shrunk before, so he couldn't be certain, but Shinichi was pretty much always constant.
"So another drug attempt at immortality? How did he get exposed to it?"
"Nice try, except Ayumi-chan herself said I joined the grade three class. As for the poison..."
