little boys can only stay young for so long
so lets just steal the childhood before he gets the taste
because we'd hate for him to earn independence
and were too busy being stubborn and selfish
living our lives as we want things to go
than to let him being something of his own

and hence the change of heart
when the addictions have all faded away
lets give him that taste of poison now
get him heartbeat to quicken with that thrill
but take it away in the blink of an eye
because thats how we do in the parent business
