Cambridge/Boston visit was beyond wonderful, all flowers and sunshine and spring rain and love and seeing even more people than I thought I'd see, and good conversation and food and good wine and I could go on about it a good long time. Maybe later.
Quick update:
I did not get the job at Head & Hands, but came home to two job offers at the hospital (I'd applied to a couple other jobs internally, due to the whole working half time and toeing a fine line with fundage thing). I suddenly have a new job, full time, different department, better schedule, better pay, starting in mid-June. I'll be doing some kind of administrative something (don't have the details yet) in the interdisciplinary family medicine clinic where the medical residents work. It has the potential to be more interesting than the work I'm doing now, and very simply: FULL TIME. NO MORE WORRYING ABOUT MONEY. This is very, very good, and I feel secure and cared-for.
I didn't get the place in the housing co-op, either, but I'm fine with that and excited to swing into finding a comfortable nest of my own.
Mostly I am just incredibly relieved to have secure work coming my way. Sweet relief.
