Is it okay to friend people I never spoke to, like authors of fics I liked? I find it hard to place LJ on a scale from following random strangers on twitter which is totally ok, to sending a friend request on facebook to strangers (which.. isn't).

And as for the fic.. god I can't believe someone's gonna read it *on a kindle*! Ha.
I'm more than prepared, bring on the criticism! :)

You can friend whoever you want. If you like someones fics, friend them so you can follow them, their posts appear on your friends page (as long as they aren't friendslocked ( ... )

Thanks for that! Now I feel a little less awkward about friending everyone. It's so weird to be the new girl, I've been part of different communities for about 10 years now but never so late to join one. But I'm starting to get the hang of it and this really helped. :)

And your post reminded me of me maybe a year back? I had no idea about SPN, Dean, and most of all LJ. Then read some of the fics; watched the show; got hooked and next thing I knew, I was participating in a Big bang. LOL

Anyway, welcome to the madness and the friendships that is LJ/ fandom. Hope you have a good time.

Hey! It's a slippery road isn't it? Watched 8 season in 3 months, still got season 9 to go (I'm trying to go as slow as possible now that I'm nearly done catching up). And read god knows how many fics on the past month or so.

From all the fandoms I've been a part of SPN seems like the craziest one, but in such a good way. Thanks for the welcome! :)
