Hey cats and dolls! I hope you've been behaving yourselves. Finals are over and summer is in session. I only have one thing to say: play it safe. Ok, so that could be interpreted in many ways. But judgment is key here. And in my experience, even though I've learned from a fair share of Hell, I still manage to mess up.
There are a few methods I've found consistently help me cope with an otherwise bad situation:
-walk it off
-call a friend/family member
-go to church
-go browsing in shops
-get online and journal/mess with websites
-go to the library
-write
-punch a pillow
-exercise
-meditate or do yoga
-drink water/green tea and chew sugarless gum to ward off cravings to any addiction, whether it be to food or caffeine... even drugs or alcohol
-paint, draw, collage--crafts of all kinds are fun
-read magazines/novels
-research something interesting
-learn a new recipe
-get manicure/pedicure
-meet a friend and go hiking or to a playground ;)
If you can think of more, please let me know! I'm always interested in what you have to say. And I need more ways to deal with stress, as we all do, I'm sure.
