I think I've matured more than I ever have in my life, between early 2005 and now. I'm still not quite a composed, self-assured, and independent adult, but I'm getting there.
Here are the recent highlights of my life:
I got a job offer to teach art to kids at the JCC, a camp in Pikesville, MD. My first day to try out the job is May 23rd at 9 AM. However, transportation is a big problem for me (since I don't have a vehicle or insurance), so I don't know how/if I'll be able to get there.
I just got three out of five classes finished (10 credits): Environmental Science (class=A-pretty sure and lab=A), drawing 2 (I got a B, but the teacher said I could turn in completed work during the summer and he can give me an A because he always sees me working hard in art), and English 102-yay! Last English EVER!!!!!=A whhoooo!!!). This means I'm now a sophomore in college!
I've finally decided I'm going to become an Art major. Yep yep. I will probably work in marketing or something that involves visual communications and selling ideas to mass media. I want to innovate women's roles in media by displaying women as strong, courageous, and free to be whatever they want. I want to see men in Corona swimming trunks posing for two beer-guzzling, clothed women on a beach, while the women stare at the men's asses and holler.
Driving is on the agenda for the summer. My goal is to have my own car and pay insurance, or at least pay insurance for my dad's Mercury Sable and drive that to school and work by this fall.
I got the whole Seltzer issue as resolved as I want it to be. I feel safe. I have my notes for the final which I set up with the testing center administrators, and Dr. Lilley, another psychology professor, is going to be grading my paper and test.
I still work at Wockenfuss, and I will be working there even more this summer.
Every Thursday for the past two months I've been hanging out with Adisa, her bf, and his two cousins at Iguana Cantina. It's been a lot of fun, but I've been naughty. haha I'm not bragging, but I am a pimp when I sip tequila and platinum pussy with the boys. I get on stage and dance (probably like an idiot because I always look stupid when I'm doing anything fun). But I definitely get the men. I don't know how or why haha, but before I know it, they're on me like leeches. Long story short: I like being a bad girl, as long as I'm smart about it. EVERYTHING, EVEN BADASSNESS IS GOOD IN MODERATION. So I enjoy myself. Hey, have fun while you're young, right?
