BUT MEGGIE LOVES ADVENTURE!!!
I'm super excited about PA this weekend. It'll be Moira's longest car trip yet! And I'm not setting my expectations too high about seeing Marcia, or where I used to live, but I just love that for yet another weekend, I'm off to do something different and fun. In a lot of ways I think I live vicariously through E, what with his traipsing about the country and causing civil wars oversees and all. But it's nice to get a little piece of a traveling adventure for myself for a change.
I moved around so much as a kid -- by the time I was Moira's age I had moved at least 3 times -- it still makes me twitchy to stay in one place for so long. Don't get me wrong; I like that I have roots now, that I know all the roads, and that people recognize me when I walk down the street. It's a good feeling to feel at home where you live, a normal part of your surroundings...
But it feels just as good to discover new roads, see new faces, experience new things and feel like an oddity.
Yes, I said it. I like being odd. So there. ;-p
Alright. All I have to do is finish all these p.o. reqs and the filing and I'm out of here... oh, man, it's gonna be late!
