Well, I don't get on here much anymore, but with so much going on in my life I must update.
I am sitting at my desk and somewhat enjoying my last day of work at Shepard Exposition Services. It is sad to leave, but I guess it's time to try someting new. I have alot of good friends here I hate to lose. Tomorrow, I leave for New York. I have never been so it is very exciting. I had hoped to see the Daily Show or Conan, but TDS doesnt tape on Fridays and I missed the window for Conana by a day or two. Thats okay, it gives us plenty oftime to see the NY sites. I'm excited about Magnolia Bakery, made famous by
Lazy Sunday Of course, NY is only the first stop in the adventure that is the next month. After New York, we fly (hopefully in style, thanks to the hook-up of one of my dad's friends) to London to start our Contiki tour and venture through most of Europe. We are going for 23 days. I wish it could be longer, but it gets expensive with added time. It doesnt really matter how long am I going to be there because it will be awesome. Some friends who just returned gave me some great tips and stories to prep me for the trip.
Shortly after coming back across the pond, I have a TON of stuff to do. In only 5 short days, I must organize and downsize everything that I own to make the move to the Keys for the next adventure. Laura scored an awesome job, and I am working on mine. I had two great interviews, but I am waiting to get an official word, even though it may be frustrating that it is taking so long. Not sure where we are going to live yet. It will be a challenge to find something affordable that isn't a dump, but I am confident. I would love something near/on the water or a canal, but that may be alot to ask. Of course, almost everything is NEAR the water. It is a string of islands, after all. It will be nice to kayak whenever I feel like it (and I am not working). Hopefully hurricane season will not be as damaging to the Keys as it was last year. I would take one strong one over a bunch, back to back like in 2004 in C. Florida. Thanks alot, fossil fuels.
After moving down, I need to scoot back home so that I can walk at graduation (August 5th, hell yeah)and move whatever I have left.
We also need to see a bunch of movies when we get back, if there is any money left to spend on movies. Superman, Pirates, An Inconvenient Truth, and a bunch of others all have my eye.
What an exciting year 2006 is turning out to be. Let's hope everything goes to plan.
