Another busy month.
Met up with Deirdre yesterday. It was supposed to be a study session, but we ended up chit-chatting for hours instead. Deirdre and I get to see each other sometimes due to work or other matters, and although we've been friends for almost 2 years, yesterday was only our 3rd time hanging out. But it's funny how there's never a sense of awkwardness between us that usually hangs in the air when you meet with someone whom you don't contact often - we don't even have the same group of friends. I think the experience that the both of us went through together somehow diminished any kind of awkwardness, and it's something that I can talk about in-depth only with her. Anyway, it was great seeing her and I hope everything works out for her.
From tomorrow onwards, I will be as busy as a bee. My schedule for the next 2 weeks or so:
26th June - 1st July: Work as a promoter for some Japanese health product (MK and I get to wear a yukata!)
27th July: SKITH's welcome BBQ for sub-committee members
2nd July - 7th July: Holiday in JAPAN
The rest of July: Rush accounts to be submitted end of July
But I'm not complaining, because after slogging my ass off for a consecutive 5 days, I will be flying to Tokyo to have 6 days of fun. With my annoying brother. I'm a little worried about packing though, because work ends in the evenings (or later) so I'm not sure if I have time to pack properly. The only time that I have is on July 1st, but my flight's at 5.40AM on July 2nd, so I'd have to rush. Friends can expect me to be missing in action for at least 3 weeks. Try not to miss me too much. Hahahaha.
