on Tom Waits
In recent times I haven't been moved by any music. Until just now as I'm listening to 2nd cd aka "Bawlers" from the pretty new Tom Waits box set titled "Orphans". I am currently numb on the couch as a slideshow of my life flashes in a flurry before me. Intellectually at a standstill yet emotions abound. I'm going to the store to buy a forty and listen to it over and over. Then I want to wander and get lost. Revel in a feeling of hopelessness only to make my way home thanking the booze with kick and lyrics that move.
