Here are a couple of pictures from my day on base.  I discovered that I was cleared to drive anywhere I wanted that was not marked restricted or required passage through a second set of security gates.

I had to wait for this little guy to finish crossing the road before I could drive to Launch Pad A.

Launch Pad A.

The VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) is where they prep rockets and the shuttles prior to launch.  I was in OSB2, (Office Services Building 2)  just across the parking lot from the VAB.

I could not wipe the smile off my face for the first hour after I cleared security and was allowed to drive on base.  Just parking in shadow of this building was (sounding like a little kid) JUST TOO COOL!
