002; [accidental video]

[Apparently, Edmund found a place to get a sword, and he is extremely happy about this. The video feed comes in as his SFC falls out of his pocket (and was probably stepped on), showing Edmund from a lower angle as he practices in the park away from as many people as possible so as not to, you know, possibly injure any of them ( Read more... )

Action...! Because.. yeah |D skyglide February 2 2011, 20:58:13 UTC
[Agito is actually impressed by the display, though Akito takes less time being impressed by it and spends more time observing it carefully after checking out his butt, since he does have a thing for dark-haired boys. He nibbles on an onigiri he ganked from a local store upon Agito's request as he walks over enough to be seen.]

You're like out of a story book.

[...And he'll hand you a spare onigiri because he probably won't remember to eat both of them anyway. :|]

Ah - [person. a person he knows even! He laughs a little, rubbing his neck.]

I guess it's fitting. I've got a few written about me in Narnia.

[... Why are you so short, Akito. At least Ed is sitting. He stares at the onigiri for second because he's not... entirely sure... what it is. But takes it anyway with a smile.]

Thanks.

Why would you have books written about you? [Thinks that if this guy has a book or two written about him, then Ikki should definitely get one too. )8]

It's an onigiri.. A rice ball! It's got meat inside.

[He's gonna poke at that sword now okok]

Er - I don't really know, really. I was a king back in Narnia and they wrote fairy tales off of my siblings and me because of it.

[He nods and... takes a bite. Omnomnom. Tasty~ He takes another bite which totally shows his approval.]

Ah - be careful, I wouldn't want you to get cut.

Ah, so you're like the traditional kind of king? That's cool! I was a King before too, but it's an entirely different kind of thing... There are eight Kings in the A-T hierarchy, ne? Fang, Flame, Rumble, Water, Lightning, Thorn, Sky, and Pledge. If you're good enough at your 'Road' you get to be the King of it, regardless of age or gender! My mother was the one to introduce the concept of Kings... She ruled the Sonia Road, meaning she was the Thorn King - or Queen, you could say.

[He clearly enjoys chit-chatting about the A-T world. And the sword isn't nearly as sharp as a Fang, and so he has no worries of being cut.]

Compared to a Fang, a sword is dull like a stick.

[He'd nodded at the question and then tried to listen to all of that. It - what - confusing ;~; But he tries to understand as much of it as he can. He looks totally fascinated, at least.]

So what's... a road... exactly?

Ah...

Every Storm Rider - that's somebody who uses Air Treck! - places an emphasis on a certain aspect of their "Run", which determines their "Type". Over time, the Rider's Run develops into a characteristic style and repertoire of tricks, which is termed as their "Road"!

Riders who master a Road to a high degree are called "King-level" riders, and King-level riders who possess their Road's "Regalia" are called "Kings".

[He nods. That all makes some kind of sense. At least somewhat. To an extent. And he realizes also that he never asked;]

And what are... Air Treck, exactly? I know I've heard you mention them often, but I don't think I've ever asked.

Air Treck are motorized rollerblades with advanced mechanics like air cushioning systems that give the user the ability to 'fly' with them with proper technique!

[Lifts a foot to show off the shiny, shiny... sharp... Fang Regalia on his feet!]

My A-T are named Sand Tiger.

[He grins because he thought it might be something like that, with how he talked about them. He looks at them on his feet for a moment. This is so cool *A*]

And these things are common in your world?

Reply

skyglide February 3 2011, 06:16:36 UTC
Un! Yeah. They're pretty common, but they're also really expensive... And then they're also expensive to maintain, too. So most people who get them are really dedicated, which is why there's such an 'underground world' for Storm Riding.

It's really fun to watch though, so there are some organized A-T sports! And when we televised one of our team's Parts Wars - it's like a competition of skills, except more dangerous since you fight each other - we got a lot more support from the population that isn't really aware of A-T!

It sounds amazing. [He really means this.] Do they work here? The same way they do at home? I'd love to see it sometime.

skyglide February 3 2011, 06:54:52 UTC
Yeah! They work the same. I like to keep them in top shape - at least the best that I can - so I make sure to check their percent of function every so often when Agito uses them!

I can't really A-T anymore... I'm working on getting my abilities back though! I could show you the difference between a novice's Fang and a King's Fang because of that... [Seems to be thinking on this. :|a]
