New TV series "Sleepy Hollow" is stupid and insane, but gloriously so.
Imagine if a TV series aspired to be the next Da Vinci Code, and had already got the budget but the entire source material was half a page from The Legend of Sleepy Hollow and half a paragraph from the locale's other famous story, Rip Van Winkle.
Here's an example of the stupidity. Our Hero is guided to a gravestone in an old church cemetery, and the inscription specifies, "... burned as a witch ..."
Okay, two things.
1) If she was burned as a witch, why is she buried in a church cemetery?
2) If she was burned, be it as a witch or no, what was there to bury?
And there are a LOT of very dumb things like that. Evidently, George Washington was some sort of sorcerer.
But it's gloriously shot! I may continue watching. It's just that crazy.
