Subject: International United one line Shema Prayer August 3 - Join In Please.
Divided we fall.
If you are Jewish, you are connected to every single Jew on the planet. On
August 3, you can take 10 seconds to remind those of us on the front lines
in Israel as well as others facing anti Semitism around the world that we
are still one nation, one people. Doing this can hopefully prevent violence,
especially with the approaching planned Gaza withdraw.
On August 3, 2005 (erev 28 Tammuz), when it's exactly 9pm at the Western
(Wailing) Wall in Jerusalem, join every Jew on earth as we say the most
central phrase in Judaism: the Shema prayer. Saying the first verse takes 10
seconds.
It doesn’t matter where you live or what your affiliation is or even if you
don’t identify with your Jewish roots. If you were born Jewish, join us
because if we could be united, even briefly, perhaps miracles will happen.
Divided we fall. United we stand.
Find the complete shema and hear it here:
http://www.jewfaq.org/prayer/shema.htm Please forward this to every Jewish person you know, and also mark August 3
in your calendar. The more voices, the better.
