sick and tired of being bored
I feel like SHIT . . . In Foods Class Derek put the nazi sign on one of Erin's cookies . . . and she's Jewish . . . so of course she was offended . . . and when she told me about it I said "Well...maybe he didn't know?" (I did NOT mean he didn't know what it stood for or what it symbolizes to Jews, Poles, and many other victims of the holocaust . . . I meant that he wouldn't have drawn the nazi sign if he knew Erin was Jewish . . . at least I don't think he would . . . ) During gym I noticed that Erin had been increasingly quiet towards me so I walk over to her and she's ignoring me and letting me know she's pissed at me . . . so i asked her at first she wouldn't say but then i was like well if it's something i did i'd really like to know so that i can fix it...she told me...basically she thought that i was defending him and that i didn't think it was a big deal because I "didn't go from a school that was all Jewish to a school where everyone made fun of you for being Jewish" and she's absolutely right...i don't...but that doesn't mean I accept it...I'm just the kinda person who doesn't like to see anyone i care about worked up about something...so i usually try to either put a lighter spin on the situation or try to think of a possible POSITIVE reason for whatever happened that upset that person in the first place...and i feel terrible that she even thought for one second that i would defend that kind of behavior....1.) Erin's one of my closest friends and I would never purposely do something to offend her, 2.) My family's Polish and Poles were killed during WWII many for hiding and/or helping Jews escape the Nazis, and 3.) my parents have raised me better than that... i was only trying to not increase how upset she was about it...but i prolly made it worse:-\ Erin...If you're reading this I'm SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry and i hope you realize it...best of luck on saturday!
