My son gave me a big hug and sang "Happy Birthday" for me today. He's very sweet. And my daughter was very sneaky and bought me a Burt's Bees thingy without my knowing! She also cleaned the upstairs for me. I have great children. Fred is at work today, but he took me out for lunch earlier this week. He'll also be cooking supper tonight. I'll give him the good news when he gets home. haha
School year is almost over and I can't wait! I have to write something speechy for my grads, and make up some kind of skit. I'm thinking of doing "Are You Smarter Than an Eighth Grader." I've never seen the real show, so I have to do some research. I have to get our track team to the track meet and finish organizing the 5/6's class trip. I've also got 2 tests left to give and I have to finish report cards. It will all be over soon, and if you do one thing at a time, it isn't so bad. And the field trips should be fun. One of them involves a pool! And, I have great students.
BUT, I am looking forward to doing nothing for at least a week when school gets out. I'll have to go back to school to clean up my junk, but that's not so bad. I can go in late and wear shorts. I so long for being able to wear jeans and shorts whenever I want. I hate having to dress up for work. Not that I really dress up because I don't even own proper "nice" clothes, but anything that isn't jeans is a drag to wear, IMO.
I'm rereading Half-Blood Prince to get myself ready for the big HP event. I don't think I'll be doing anything special. Too bad. I wish I could, but it doesn't seem like it will be possible. I'll be online, though.
