1/24:The Clash Bar(NJ)with Glass Doll and Eden Star
2/08:Otto's Shrunken Head(NYC).
2/10:Club Midway(NYC)with Glass Doll and friends. Aww, yeah....2 shows in one weekend. That's a first!
2/15:Loop Lounge(NJ)w/Nancy Drew Blood
3/08:The Court Tavern(NJ)with a handful of bands that I can't seem to name at the mo'.
Some of the dates still have to be confirmed. Kind of a crazy itinerary now that I i see it all in writing. As they say, be careful what you wish for.
We played a rather anticlimactic show at Maxwell's in Hoboken last sunday. Not because it was bad, just OK by my standards....it's just....I've been attending shows at said venue for the past 15 years; Belly, Foetus, The Rezillos, TV Smith and The Adverts, British Sea Power, The Avengers, Throwing Muses, The Chameleons, etc. It's my favorite venue and I'd been excited for weeks for having the chance to be on it's stage. Though, hours after our performance Shannon, my bassist, says "It doesn't even seem like we played Maxwell's, does it??". Within half a second of thinking about it I agreed with her. I can't really explain why. Our show at the Trash Bar in Brooklyn a few days earlier was a better experience even though there was barely a crowd. We were the most kinetic we'd ever been and the sound was awesome.
Wow, I'm so out of practice with this LJ business.
