journal; fatedmagia
relation→ important person, friendAfter being killed by Charlotte and waking up in the Gardens, Mami nursed a crippling fear that Madoka hated her for failing to survive; this painful idea grew into a miserable certainty thanks to the dark hallucinations she experienced in the Labyrinth, which were only dispelled when Madoka herself arrived and set her former mentor straight. Madoka is easily Mami's most important person by this point- even after death, the younger girl gives Mami a real reason to smile. Around Madoka, the walls can't help but fall, and Mami would do everything in her power to keep the other girl safe and happy.

As of now, she's unaware of many things concerning Madoka; her wish, her eventual fate, etc.

In the wake of her various epiphanies- the true fate of Puella Magi, the revelations surrounding Homura and her motivations, and Madoka's wish -Mami has forced herself to let go of Madoka as her "junior" to instead accept her as both an equal and a friend. This was a difficult, yet necessary (and, ultimately, healthy) move on Mami's part; in her own way, she's lessening the distance she had built up around herself as form of emotional protection. Madoka is still a very important person to Mami....but she's no longer the only one. Mami will no longer cling to Madoka as her sole means for emotional support or validation, instead working to obtain the strength she needs to stand on her own and truly be someone worthy of admiration. However, she will always look upon Madoka fondly, even a little idealistically, as the sweet and innocent girl whose kindness is an inspiration.

Mami is also aware of, and has both accepted and encouraged, Madoka's romantic relationship with Homura.
