Russell-san's murder is under investigation. Given the personal nature of it to Celestial Being members I offer my notes on the matter should you be interested.

Beyond makes a valid point - distractions. I am 90% certain he was Russell-san's killer, which while emotionally motivated has obvious underlined message. 'Upping the ante' as he is fond of using. Now with Naomi Misora here he may try to recreate the situation in which he lost the first time.
A recreation of the L.A.B.B. murders could have catastrophic results in such a volatile setting. Like before only an unpredictable outside force can deter him from his path. He will expect Mello, Near perhaps. Though... should he believe those ties are severed it may create the edge needed. A possible and viable option, which must be well played.
I wonder what Beyond has forgotten. To take his life, to truly look at him for the first time... I believe I understand something I did not before.
