Blogging from the Boat near the British Isles...

Hello again everyone.

Wow, I am TIRED!

Yesterday we had a day at sea on our way to Guernsey. We didn't do much, just went to the shows, and ate dinner at the steakhouse. I got a nice filet mignon that was overcooked but still yummy. Not much else to report from yesterday - yes it was that uneventful, but it was however still relaxing. The only notable thing to mention was the horrid weather - it was so foggy that we had to use our foghorns every 2 minutes. That sound always came out of nowhere, made me jump out of my skin, and rattled through my bones. We are talking LOUD! I couldnt handle being on the upper deck long because of it.

Today was the exact opposite in that my day was quite full! We arrived in Guernsey early this morning, and the fog was still thick (visibility was about 35 feet only).

Guernsey was absolutely amazing. I thought it would be the most boring on the trip, but it was not! St. Peter Port is a cute little town, and I fell in love. I could easily move there and live the rest of my life. I walked through an old castle and got a really great tour from a local. Then I shopped on my own for two hours and bought tons of souvenirs. So far I think I am walking away with about 150 bucks worth of souvenirs for people from my trip - and pretty much nothing for myself. I got a cute ashtray and a new keychain. That is all.

Then I visited a Nazi underground hospital, and I have to say, it was the most "authentic" experience of my life. The place was completely untouched. The dampness and realisam of that place was spooky. My mother was on a different tour, and she had the camera, so I had to use my cellphone to capture pics.

So tomorrow, we disembark, and then we are i mmediately off to Stonehenge for the afternoon. Then, we return to the Hilton Heathrow, stay over, and then spend the day in London. Its nice to know that even though I am getting off the boat tomorrow, I am still vacationing for almost two more full days.

Anyway, I dont know if I will blog again before I come home. Depends on the wireless capabilities of the hotel, and costs, etc. ALthough, I find it cathartic to relive my day through here to preserve for a long time.

I doubt any of you will even read this before I come home, since you all stop reading this thing over the weekend.

I wish you all the best. :)
