So glad to see you back! - I know that it doesn't, very likely, mean that the shit is over, simply that you have found a moment to wade through it to get to more pleasant things! (I understand that well, I've already had a seriously shitty day, which should be harder than it has been to achieve, given that it isn't 7.30am yet!)
I've missed Phillip, I never thought I'd like him and yet I really do now. HIs insecurity with Cat is interesting because it is so different from Brian Kinney's, they are, in some ways so unalike and yet they are feeling the same pangs over the loves in their lives.
The Dunraven stuff is very scary - and you handle it so quietly that our fears seem to sneak up on us as we read, by the end of a post we somehow feel so worldly - and yet so painfully naive at the same time! I hope the voice is who I think it is ....Teri.... I miss him being himself most of all, he's so, unexpectedly strong and yet so fragile and vulnerable, and, even though, even in the small, subtle ways Phillip has just thought back on, he has always guided Phillip through all of the mazes and pits of the DS, and everything else too! - somehow I just feel he will be a little safer, maybe because he is so in control of his environment there, back in Phillip's world.
An excellent post! I hope you will have the time, and inclination, to follow it up with many more! - Not just because I'm greedy, which I am! :) - but, also, because it may signal a little break in things for you and an improvement in your life! I hope so!
