I just finished watching Capote a couple minutes ago. I'd like to induct Philip Seymour Hoffman into my greatest performances ever hall of fame. Seeing with such a clear view how brittle yet steadfast and determined he was in his quest to finish his book was immaculate. He was a showboater who didn't know when to stop, and he still didn't know after the man with whom he fell in love twitched at the end of a rope right in front of him. I'd always put philip seymour hoffman in my list of awesome actors, but i think he just moved up a couple notches. Check the movie out if you haven't already, it's fantastic.
p.s. maggie is great for letting me watch it while she did homework and not complaining too much when she found out i was updating my livejournal with information about a movie and not about her. i love maggie.
