Yesterday I went to a cafe so hip that they were selling Wolf Parade CD's. Also, the barista had a Neil Young album on repeat.
Also, I found a cockroach in the bathroom the other day. Those things are gross. Luckily, Rachel took care of it. I can handle spiders, but cockroaches? No way.
We still have an ant problem in the apartment (which we decided to stay in. My monthly rent is $135 and my room is larger than the average Taipei studio), so we bought some ant killing products. The one we're using right now has a Chinese name, but the product's English name is "Nomoant."
Believe it or not, Crocs are pretty popular here, too. And there are Starbucks' on both ends of campus. Although they only have four flavors here: Vanilla, Hazelnut, Caramel, and Almond. How am I going to get my Toffee Nut Lattes!!? (Just kidding, those drinks are gross. I've only been drinking iced coffee here, and I think I've already lost 5 pounds.)
