Don't Mess With Texas: Day 3
I just got back to the hotel room after a morning of security briefings and Q&A sessions... *yawn*
Yesterday and today have been short days. We report to the facility at 0600, have breakfast, and "rally up" in a section of the complex. Over the past two days we have gone over our contracts, discussed our benefits packages and issues concerning them, spent a couple hours getting our Department of Defense Access Cards, and had a few security briefings. Today the U.S. Program Manager came in to talk with all of us and go over some issues that certain members of the group still weren't clear on.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day... we have our main NBC training from 0800-1600, and we will be taking it with the other 250 KBR contractors... should be interesting to see how that goes.
We received our final flight orders. We will leave Houston on Saturday evening and fly to Amsterdam. After an hour layover we will fly to Dubai, UAE and hang out there for a day, THEN we fly to Baghdad.
It's 81 and partly cloudy after a nice morning rain, and I'm gonna grab lunch.
