Luke 7_8

Dec 13, 2004 21:45

Luke 7:44Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven-for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.”48Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”49The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”50Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

I had to really meditate on this tonight and think where i am. Am i where this women is crying on Jesus's feet pouring perfume on his feet. Or am i like Simon sitting at the table judging. Am i going to go in peace because my faith has saved me ?

This in i cried and prayed but i feel like i have straighten things out with God. I just think that our Rabbi has so much to teach to us in Luke. We really need to sit down and read and meditate on these verses and practice them. Its not an easy task but who said being Christian was easy. Certainly wasn't easy for Christ to die on the cross for us.
