A really cool place I visited recently

Also recommended is the Beginner's Guide to Bollywood. I got it from HMV. The first CD (described in a good review right here) is all from the 50s/60s - big band stuff. It's just fab. I particularly like one of the tracks (which I think is from a film about a woman of ill repute) where the singer says, coquettishly, 'Hello mister, how do you do?' right in the middle of song in Hindi (I assume it's Hindi).

Still the prettiest depressed. I'm having even more of a mid-life crisis than usual: I feel increasingly like I took a really big wrong turn somewhere. Any day now I'll be buying a sports car and dating a younger woman :-(

One last thing - a hearty mazeltov to peopl eerally unlikely to be reading my journal - the Danish royal family just welcomed a new member, as, actually did mine - the wife of one of my cousins (one living in London for anyone who's actually met members of my family) has just had a baby :) Anyway, I'm jealous of the Danes as their Royal Family seen awfully nice (they have nifty palaces, too, which I hope to see sometime). Happy New Year to all the Jews out there.

Oh - some good news (making the last last thing not a last thing at all). One of my dear friends has moved back to Edinburgh. Now I just have to crawl out of my house to actually see him and his new wife, who is lovely (and yes, him getting married does make me wonder about myself, not least of which because she's probably younger than me. Bah).
