My life is crazy
Crazy things are going on in my life right now, very few of which I will post about.
Does anyone even read livejournal anymore, I know Anthony has abandoned it, but has everyone else?
Oooh, my supervisor gave me a great idea for my school appropriate Halloween costume. She said I should go as garbage. You just wear a garbage bag (you have to cut leg holes) and then glue some crumpled news paper to the top and tie the whole thing loosely around your neck. I think I'll just be wearing cat ears. There's going to be a parade. Today I taught a lesson on the food chain. We even made our own food chains, it was super fun. And we went on a nature walk. The kids were very impressed because I wasn't afraid of the Daddy Long Legs they wanted to throw on me, and I pointed out some hawks.
Homecoming was last weekend, its was tons of fun. I always enjoy the dance. I even did the entire dancing and singing to gold digger routine. Everybody likes it when Justine raps. I'm super sleep deprived though because we went out after the dance and then I got to sleep for four hours before church in the morning, not so hot.
So I just finished reading about the most current school shooting in the Amish school. Needless to say, I find school violence extremely disturbing. Especially as a teacher. My question to myself is always "Would I be able to think about my own safety or would I throw myself in front of the crazy shooter?" I feel like it's part of my job to protect my students. If someone tried to attack them I don't know what I'd do. I think that they'd have to kill me first. I don't know. I think that my feelings will change once I have a family of my own.
On a happier note it's beautiful outside today. I went for a quick walk today before I went to work out. I'm sad that I have to study all night. I have a huge test tomorrow. Oh well, time to study, first, it's nap time. Eight year olds wipe me out.
